### **Turkish import tax burden**

Customs duty is taken from CIF value (goods + insurance + freight). Then (CIF + duty) is taxed at 6% KKDF (Resource Utilization Support Fund), 0.9% stamp, finally 20% VAT on the total. Most EU-origin categories are duty-free (Customs Union).

### **Important notes**

- EU-origin products need a EUR.1 certificate; without it, China rates apply.
- Personal-use imports via post under €30 are duty-exempt.
- Free zone / bonded warehouse operations have different tariffs — work with a customs broker.
